Prelate of the Methodist Church, His Eminence Samuel Uche, who was kidnapped last Sunday has said his freedom was secured after payment of a ransom to the tune of N100m.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday, the cleric said the notes were arranged in five sacks of N20 million.
He said the Methodist church in Nigeria had to raise the money for his release without the intervention of the Federal Government.
He also said the police or any other security agencies were not involved in his release.
The prelate was abducted along with other two at about 2 pm on their way from a church programme in Okigwe Imo State to Isuochi in Umu Nneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.
