Chief Lanre Ipinmisho, former Director General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on Thursday declared his support for the Kogi All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Usman Ododo.
A statement issued in Lokoja by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr Kingsley Fanwo, said that the former NDLEA boss gave his support when Ododo and his entourage paid him a visit in his Abuja residence on Thursday.
Ipinmisho reportedly hailed the humility of the candidate and declared his unalloyed support for his (Ododo’s) election on Nov 11.
He expressed confidence that Ododo, when elected, would build on the legacies of Gov. Yahaya Bello and take the state to higher heights.
Earlier, Ododo said that he was in his residence to seek his blessing and support to his ambition to lead the people of Kogi in the next administration come Jan. 27, 2024.
The APC candidate commended Ipinmisho for his service to humanity and for believing in a united Kogi State.
He promised not to disappoint him and the generality of the Kogi people if given the mandate to take over from Gov. Bello.
