Kunle Afolayan Calls Fan "Bastard" Over Criticism of His Movie, ‘Citation’

The producer of the movie 'Citation', Kunle Afolayan, has labelled one of his fans a bastard following his criticism of the recently released movie.

The fan, with the Twitter handle @iam_Muideen had tweeted Afolayan to complain about some scenes where French was spoken without any subtitle attached.
@iam_Muideen, tweeted: “Citation Is A Great Film No Doubt, But Non-Subtitle Of French Part Is A Great Disservice To The Movie.”

This criticism of the fan who had seemingly watched the new flick on an unauthorized platform as it has subtitles on Netflix  irked Afolayan, who threw caution to the wind and lashed at him.

Afolayan tweeted: “You are a very stupid idiot. That’s what you get if you keep downloading films from unauthorized streaming platforms. Omo ale (Bastard).”
Citation, premiered on Netflix on November 6, features the Chairman of First Bank Plc, Ibukun Awosika and the daughter of Nigerian billionaire, Temi Otedola among top Nollywood actors and their foreign counterparts including popular Haitian-American actor, Jimmy Jean-Louis.
