The Nigerian Labour Congress’ President, Joe Ajaero, has reaffirmed his commitment to the union’s movement which he described as ‘worth dying for’.
In his first address after returning to the Labour House from Abattoir Police Office, Abuja, Ajaero commended the union for their patriotism and commitment, stressing that it is the most patriotic organization in Nigeria.
While maintaining his stance on NLC’s agitations, Ajaero described the alleged terrorism funding and treason accusation melted against him by the Nigerian Police Force as part of the hazards of spearheading the union’s movement.
He said “The labour movement is worth Dying for because of the patriotism and commitment. The labour movement is one of the biggest Pan-Nigeria organization.
“Our patriotism from the days of colonial government to even the period of the military rule is unshakable.
“We are more patriotic than any other institutions you can think of in this country and we are going to continue to be that.
“We have gone there and we are back. I just want to confirm to you.
“We can’t do this job we are doing without this type of hazard. It is expected.”
