A Lagos-based lady and content creator, Ella, who was assaulted by Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) staff, has returned to her bus stop to confirm the availability of buses after the video of her altercation with the BRT staff went viral.
NPO Reported that Ella had on Wednesday cried out after been harassed by a BRT staff for calling out the Lagos State Government over shortage of buses and long queues at Elepe bus stop in Ikorodu area of the state.
The content creator renowned for making video of commuters’ plight at the bus stop every morning was challenged by the BRT staff who could be seen hitting her hand in a bid to stop her from recording.
The video had sparked mixed reaction from the public and also attracted the attention of the Lagos State Government.
It also prompted the deployment of more buses to the bus stop.
Confirming the development in a video shared on X on Friday, Ella expressed her delight with the availability of buses at the bus stop.
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who stood by her side in course of the incident, stressing that Nigerians voice was heard.
“Good morning guys, I am live at Elepe. Another day to prove to you Nigerians that our voices was heard.
“You can see the buses we have here. I really want to say a big thank you to everybody that turned up for me yesterday. Thank you Nigerians.” She said.
Responding to critics who called her out for resorting to e-hailing service after the video, Ella vowed that she would continue visiting the bus stop and voice out whenever she noticed any form of irregularities.
“And that negative comments about oh she has started using Uber, that cannot stop me.
“As you can see, I am here live at Elepe.
“I’m actually going to use an Uber, but I actually want to prove to you that I will not stop talking. If they don’t provide buses for us, I will continue.” She said.
