Lagos State government has cancelled the work-from-home policy for civil servants across the state.
The state government declared full resumption for all workers which will take effect from the 1st of April.
This was diclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the state’s Head of Service, Bode Agoro.
The scrapping of the policy, according to the statement, followed the implementation of the new minimum wage and other welfare measures for state workers part of efforts to ease the economic hardship on them.
“Further to the implementation of the new minimum wage in the state public service and other commendable measures put in place by this administration to improve the welfare and well-being of public servants, Mr. Governor has approved the cancellation of the work-from-home initiative in the Lagos state public service,
“Accounting officers are enjoined to note the contents of this circular and give it the service-wide publicity it deserves,” the statement reads.
Recall that Sanwo-Olu had on, February 22, 2024, ordered civil servants from level 1 to 14 to work from their various offices three days a week.
