Suspected hoodlums arrested along Oshodi flyover and Airport Road pedestrian bridge were on Thursday engaged in community service by Lagos State Government.
As captured in a post shared on X by the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the hoodlums were seen clearing bushes and removing dirt along Oshodi-Mile 2 road under the supervision of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) officials.
According to Wahab, they were arrested for constituting nuisance along the pedestrian bridge and flyover.
The commissioner, however, reiterated the state government’s commitment in ensuring cleaner and more orderly Lagos as well as rehabilitation of the arrested hoodlums.
“Miscreants apprehended for constituting a nuisance on Oshodi Flyover and the pedestrian bridge along Airport Road are now serving community service—clearing bushes and removing dirt from the area.
“We will continue to keep our commitment to not just enforcement but also rehabilitation, ensuring a cleaner and more orderly Lagos for all.” He wrote.
