The Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development has on Monday held talk with business owners in Computer Village over plan to relocate the popular Lagos ICT hub and accessories market from its location in Ikeja, the state’s capital.
As seen in a banner stretched across the entrance of the market on Monday morning, the state government had invited the traders for a stakeholder’s engagement over the relocation of the market to the proposed ICT & Business Park, Katangowa, at Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The traders were also notified about the meeting in a letter issued by the office of the Ikeja Computer Village Market Iyaloja and Babaloja.
The Iyaloja and Babaloja had in the letter declared closure of the entire market until the end of the meeting.
According to reports, the Lagos State Government had last year announced the plan to relocate the market to Katangora, another area of the state renowned for the fabrics and clothing trade.
