The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the release of an erring soldier who rode okada and against traffic before he was chased and arrested at the Bonny Camp, Lagos on Tuesday.
The governor’s convoy had run into the rider who was riding against traffic rules near the popular Bonny Camp.

The governor had ordered his men to chase the man who ran into the premises but was forcefully arrested.
A video of the incident which went viral on Tuesday showed the man being whisked away by security men attached to the Governor.
NPO Reports however gathered Wednesday morning that the offender has been handed over back to the Nigerian Army for appropriate disciplinary actions.
A source at the office of the governor confirmed to the NPO Reports that since the military have their own special way of disciplining erring officers, they governor agreed to release the arrested officer to undergo the military forms of discipline.
It was learnt that after the video went viral the Army cantonment sent a high powered delegation to the Governor to appeal to him.
This, according to the source, convinced the Governor to release him to them for military prosecution.
“You know they have their own court martial process,” the source said
The Lagos State Government had effected its ban on commercial motorcycle operators popularly called Okada in some parts of the state since June 1.
The government had warned that military men who use their bikes for personal transportation must do so only in uniforms and must conform with traffic rules.
