Lagos Panel Member Absent as Viewing of Lekki Toll Gate Footage Continues

A member of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry, Mr. Ebun Adegboruwa (SAN) was again absent on Saturday, as viewing of the Lekki Toll Plaza footage where the shooting on October 20 occurred continues.

It is not yet clear why Adegboruwa has been absent from the panel since Friday, November 20.

The footage which is about 20 hours long is being played from 5 pm of the day the incident happened.

#EndSARS protesters had on Friday, November 20, thronged micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to trend the #LekkiMassacre to remember the Lekki shootings exactly one month after.

Representatives of the Nigerian Army, legal representatives of the #EndSARS protesters and the Lekki Concession Company have joined the sitting on Saturday at the Court of Arbitration.

They are expected to continue their testimony concerning the investigation into the Lekki shooting incident which has left many with unverified speculations that many lives were lost.

The Panel had notified the public that all petitions must be submitted by December 22.
