Lagos State Police Command has vowed to get to the roof of the disappearance of Esther Oladele, a candidate of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
NPO Reported that Esther was on Friday declared missing in a post shared on X by her brother.
She was alleged to have entered a “one-chance” bus of suspected kidnappers along Ajah-Epe road after leaving home on Thursday ahead of her examination.
The case was reported to the Ajiwe Police Station at Ajah.
However, the brother, identified as Johnson, would later disclose that she had been found at Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Confirming the discovery of Esther the Lagos Police Command, in a post on their official X handle on Saturday, vowed to proceed with its investigation and ascertain the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
The Command reiterated its commitment to the safety and security of Lagos residents.
The statement read in part; “The Lagos State Police Command is pleased to inform the public that following an update from her family, Miss Esther Oladele, previously reported missing, has been safely located and reunited with her family.
“The Command, in collaboration with Esther Oladele’s family, will continue to gather further information to ascertain the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
“These details will support the ongoing investigation to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the case.
“The Lagos State Police Command remains steadfast in its commitment to the safety and security of all residents.
“We reaffirm our dedication to working closely with the public to strengthen the protection of lives and property throughout Lagos State.”
