Lagos socialite, Olaseni Olayinka, popularly known as Abul Abel, has been arrested over alleged N447 million land fraud.
Abul Abel was reportedly apprehended by the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) attached to the Lagos State Police Command.
As disclosed in a post shared on X on Sunday, the socialite was alleged to have sold three plots of land with existing claims to Doyin Investment Group and collected full payment, despite knowing the land was already in dispute.
He later promised to refund the money and paid back N230 million.
Abul Abel however failed to pay the remaining balance before his arrest.
The socialite is now likely to face charges for alleged fraud and breach of trust.
However, there is no official confirmation from the Police over Abul Abel’s arrest as at the time of filing this report.
