The Nigerian Police Force on Friday said its former Inspector General, Tafa Balogun achieved what it called operational milestones while in the force.
A statement by by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force PRO, while conveying the condolences of the current Inspector General Usman Alkali, said it was through this that the training college in Ila Orangun, his hometown was established.
Balogun died in Lagos on Thursday.
“IGP Mustapha Adebayo Balogun, NPM, fwc, who hails from Ila-Orangun in Osun State, was Inspector-General of the Nigeria Police Force between March, 2002 to January, 2005, and achieved major operational milestones including facilitating the establishment of the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ila-Orangun, Osun State,” the statement noted.
