Brazilian forward, Joao Pedro, steals all three points for Brighton & Hove Albion in 2-1 win against Manchester United.
Brighton had hosted the Red Devils for the Premier League match day two at the American Express Community Stadium today.
Having been tied to a 1-1 draw in regular time, the Seagulls, however, kept it late till the 95th minute to record their second win of the season, following Pedro’s header.
The first half saw former Manchester United striker, Danny Welbeck, haunting his old club as he put Brighton on the lead 32 minutes into the game.
Welbeck picked Kaoru Mitoma’s pass and tapped the ball in beyond the reach of United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana.
Ten Hag’s men would later pull one back in the 60th minutes through Amad Dialo’s long range shot to bring the game to level terms.
Manchester United thought they have nailed the game when new signing, Joshua Zirkzee, found the back of the net in the 70th minute.
The striker’s was short-lived as VAR ruled the goal offside.
Manchester United’s dominant display would, however, not create another goal but saw them succumb to Joao Pedro’s late minutes header to bring the game to a 2-1 win for Brighton.
