A lawyer (yet to be identified) has gone to the Supreme Court Abuja on Thursday to appear in traditional regalia .
His appearance was said to be inspired by an apex court decision last week which ruled in favour of the use of hijab, the Muslim scarf for head covering, in Lagos schools.
A lawyer, Florence Awazi Ebuga, who shared images of the lawyer on her Twitter page on Thursday did not give further details.
She said “BREAKING: Drama at Supreme Court Abuja as lawyer attends proceedings in traditional worshipper’s regalia following judgement of the Supreme Court that allows all Nigerians to express their way of worship and use of hijab in schools and public places delivered on the 17/6/2022.”
