Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has broken silence over his expulsion by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
NPO Reported that the PDP had yesterday expelled the ex-Ekiti governor over alleged anti-party activities.
Fayose was, alongside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, the initially suspended National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu, and nine others, expelled by the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) at the party’s National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Reacting to the development in a post shared on his X handle on Sunday, the former governor initially expressed his gratitude to the PDP.
He would however talk down his dismissal by the party which labelled a dead party.
Fayose in a short witty statement held that a dead party cannot expel a living being like him.
“I hereby endorse publicly, without reservation, President Bola Tinubu for a second term. I also endorse our governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and his deputy for a second term.
“I am not a member of his party, and I will never be, but I stand here to say I have seen the good work. I commend Governor Oyebanji’s humility and leadership. He deserves another term,” Fayose had said at the rally.
