A Nigerian man, Chief Ayodele Afolabi, has called for the imposition of driving ban on controversial entertainer, Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, over his repeated involvement in road accidents with pedestrians endangered.
Afolabi made the call in a post shared on his X handle on Saturday hours after the Disc Jockey was involved in accident along Kelly Street at Ejigborea of Lagos State.
NPO also Reported DJ Chicken’s involvement in an accident along Sagamu road where he rammed into a commercial motorcyclist, injuring his passenger.
Reacting, Ayodele called for the prohibition of DJ Chicken from driving over his reckless behaviour.
This according to the X user will safeguard the lives of innocent citizens and prevent future tragedies.
The post read; “I wish to express my deep concern regarding the repeated incidents involving the individual popularly known as DJ Chicken.
“Within the past two months, he has been involved in no fewer than three serious road accidents, each posing grave danger to the public.
“Most recently, a life-threatening incident occurred in Sagamu, leaving a lady with serious injury and only yesterday, another alarming episode took place on Kelly Street, where he nearly ran over several pedestrians.
“It was only by sheer providence and the intervention of a roadside gutter that a greater tragedy was averted, as the vehicle involved was almost completely destroyed.
“Given this troubling pattern of reckless behaviour, it is my considered opinion that DJ Chicken should be immediately prohibited from operating any vehicle within any part of the country until further notice.
“This measure is necessary to safeguard the lives of innocent citizens and prevent future tragedies. I call on the appropriate authorities to treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and to take urgent action in the interest of public safety.”
