Manchester City cruised past West Ham United in 4-1 win at the Ethiad Stadium on Saturday.
The Cityzens hosted West Ham for their first Premier League action of the year 2025.
Having ended 2024 with a return to winning ways, the Pep Guardiola-led side were keen to maintain their momentum.
West Ham would gift Man City the lead following Vladimir Coufal’s 10th minute own goal.
Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland, doubled the lead with a stunning 42nd minute header before halftime.
Another goal from Haaland in the 55th minute gave Man City 3-0 lead.
Three minutes after the Haaland’s brace, a defensive blunder from West Ham backline was capitalized by Man City with Phil Foden latching home the fourth goal of the game.
However, the visitors would reduce the deficit courtesy Niclas Fuelkrug’s 71st minute goal which brought the game to 4-1.
Man City’s win saw them sit 6th on the Premier League table with 34 points across 20 games.
