A yet-to-be-identified man has fallen from one of the top floors of the famous Cocoa House storeybuilding in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Monday with a source disclosing that the man jumped from the 26th floor of the tallest building in Ibadan.
“The victim first hit a roof beside the security post of the building before landing on the ground. It was a terrifying sight,” an source said.
The condition of the man remain undisclosed as the police is yet to confirm the incident.
However, the Odu’a Investment Company, the firm managing the iconic building, confirmed the tragic incident in statement issued on Tuesday by its Head of Branding and Communication of the company, Victor Ayetoro.
According to the statement, the victim was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, following the incident.
The company disclosed that investigation is ongoing to unveil the circumstances around the fall.
“The individual involved was swiftly attended to by the emergency response team and taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, for urgent medical attention.
“The company expressed deep concerns over the development and assured the public of its full cooperation with authorities investigating the cause of the fall,” the statement read.
