A 23-year-old man, Fabiyi Solomon, has been arrested over attempt to use his six-year-old nephew for money rituals in Ekiti.
Solomon claimed that the child, simply identified as Jomiloju, was her sister’s son.
Speaking in a video shared on X on Tuesday, Solomon who hailed from Ayedun area of Kwara state, confessed to have brought the child to an herbalist in Ekiti for money rituals.
The herbalist would, however, report him to the police who arrested him.
While confessing to the crime, Solomon claimed he was told that the child would not die after the ritual.
He said the six-year-old boy would only fall sick while he promised to take care of him and sponsor his education.
“They told me he won’t die. He will only fall sick while I will be cashing out.
“I already promised to take of him and send him to school.” he said.
