Narrates Shooting of Passengers, Driver

A male passenger in a commercial bus ambushed and attacked along Kabba-Okenne Highway in Kogi State, has recounted how their vehicle was attacked by group of armed bandits.
As captured in a video shared on X on Monday, the man, who escaped the ordeal narrated of the bandits, alleged to be Fulanis, had attacked the vehicle, shooting the bus driver and passengers before forcing them into the bush.
He however managed to escape from the bandits and ran back to the highway where he recounted his ordeal to security operatives who had arrived at the scene of the incident.
According to him, the bandits opened fire at the vehicle which was impenetrable.
They proceeded to hack the vehicle which machete, forcing its door open and abducting the passengers.
“They opened fire at the vehicle which was proved abortive. They then forced the door open with cutlass. Look at blood everywhere. Our driver was shot.
“They were Fulanis. Only one of them was in soldier uniform. They used their Fulani cutlass cut the vehicle and carried us enter the bush.
“As dey carry us enter bush like dis, na him I run.” He said.
However, no official statement confirming the incident has been issued as at the time of filing tis report.
