A sellf-acclaimed rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has claimed that the candidate at the centre of a result falsification scandal Ejikeme Mmesomma is thinking suicide.
In a video shared by Gwamishu on his Instagram page on Saturday, he claimed that he visited the embattled candidate who had reached out to him saying she feels like committing suicide.
Saying it was the message by Mmesomma that took him to Nnewi, he said the candidate should be pardoned and made to face her studies.
Gwamnishu also shared a voice note where Mmesoma was heard crying.
The candidate had confessed to a panel of investigators set up by the Anambra state government to verify claims by the Joint administration and Matriculation Board that she faked her result to claim the highest scorer in the examination.

The activist himself was the in the centre of an allegation that he made attempt to defraud an Indonesia-based Nigerian businessman Nnaji Franklin Ifeanyi of about N6m.
A Sahara Reporter’s report in May this year also said the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, had in a letter dated May 15, 2023, directed the Delta State Commissioner of Police to investigate the criminal allegations against a Delta State-based human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu.
SaharaReporters had also reported how the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) and 17 other human rights groups across Nigeria petitioned the IGP to probe Gwamnishu over millions of Naira fraud allegations.
He claims to be the Director General of BehindG Bars Human Rights Foundation.
