The plight of Nollywood comedy actor, Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known as Papa Ajasco, has drawn the attention of fellow colleagues in the industry as actress, Mercy Aigbe sent N1 million to the veteran actor.
Ayoyinka had earlier this week come under the spotlight following an interview where he decried his financial challenges while claiming being poorly paid for his lead role in the Papa Ajasco household comedy series.
He also claimed not having a car or house of his own, stressing that his on-screen fame does not amount to real life fortune for him.
The interview had since drawn sympathy from fans and other members of the public with some Nollywood actress like Aigbe stepping up to financially assist the veteran actor.
Aigbe’s donation sent to Ayoyinka’s account was disclosed in a post shared on Instagram on Tuesday.
Also turning up to support Ayoyinka was social media influencer, Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, who visited the actor at his resident and gifted him an undisclosed amount of cash.
