The Telecommunications company, MTN has allayed the fears of its customers over the possible shutting down of network on Saturday when Nigerians go to polls to elect their new leaders.
This is coming on the heels of anxieties in the country due to failure of many transactions ahead of Saturday’s elections.
Assuring its customers of stable network during and after the election, the Telecommunications company noted that it’s not used to the idea of implementing changes on any of its Network during any critical times to minimize the chance of an outage.
It added that, the practice of keeping the network as it is, is common in telecoms which is also known as a “Network Freeze”
“We don’t implement changes on our Network during critical times to minimize the chance of an outage. Keeping the network as is, is a common practice in telecoms referred to as a Network Freeze.”
