The former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Iyiola Omisore, has described his disqualification from the party’s primaries ahead of the 2026 Osun gubernatorial election as the biggest joke of the year.
NPO Reported that Omisore was alongside six other aspirants disqualified from contesting in the primaries by the APC Screening Committee slated to hold on the 13th of December.
The ex-Osun Deputy Governor and the other disqualified aspirants were reportedly barred from the poll over gaps in their nomination documents.
While he had yesterday made his first reaction over the development with a biblical quote, Omisore would in a video shared on Facebook on Saturday faulted the APC Screening Committee’s decision to disqualify him.
He accused the panel of partisanship while alleging that the reports of the screening is yet to be made available to the aspirants.
Well, the panel report is the jokest report of this year. It’s quite unfortunate that people have taken partisanship beyond politics.
“We believe that the panel members, they have three reports that they hold. They have the original report.
“They have the one they fill at the Secretariat; they the one that they are parading.
“As we speak today now, none of me colleagues have seen their report.” Omisore said.
