Joseph Aloba, father of late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba- popularly known as Mohbad, has disclosed living a better life after his son’s death.
Aloba stated this in a recent interview shared on Instagram yesterday.
Reflecting on the challenges he has faced ever since the demise Mohbad who died on the 12th of September 2023, Aloba said he is the only one who knows better what he had been through.
“Some people doesn’t understand exactly what is going on with me. It’s only me that knows.” He said.
On whether Mohbad will be proud of his attitude ever since his death, Aloba affirmed that the deceased singer will be proud of him.
He, however, accused Mohbad’s wife and her family of preventing his late son from performing his responsibility to him.
“I know he will be proud of it because he knows me. He knows the type of father that I am.
“They did not allow him to perform his duty in my life. With what I experienced now, it’s the wife and the family.” He said.
Meanwhile, Aloba protested being called the grandfather of Mohbad’s son, Liam, as he insisted on conducting DNA test on the child as he claimed his paternity had led to the fight between his late son and his wife, Wunmi.
“When we were in Coroner, Prime Boy said the paternity of that boy was the Genesis of the fight between him and his wife.” He said while alleging that Mohbad was killed by one of Wunmi’s concubine.
On why he left Mohbad’s mother, Aloba claimed that she was cheating on him which led to their separation when Mohbad was seven years old.
“Whenever I left home, she was having affairs with someone they call Tunde.” Aloba said.
He, however, assured that Mohbad will be buried soon while reiterating his demand for the cause of his death as well the identification of his killer.
Aloba claimed he is not fighting for the late singer’s property as he added a piece of advice he would give if he had a chance to see him again.
“The first thing is if you want to marry, watch the kind of family you are going to marry from.” Aloba said.
