A former Nigerian Minister, Osita Chidoka, has raised issues over how much was spent by presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party at the just concluded presidential primaries.
Chidoka, who was once Minister of Aviation, had earlier said that he would not attend the primaries of the party.
But after the event, Chidoka, who was also Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corps, did mathematical calculations where he arrived that a total of N6.9bn.
In a tweet shortly after the primaries, Chidoka said “767 delegates X $15k = $11.5m = N6.9 Billion. If this is correct, then trouble dey this country.”
Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had stormed the venue of the primaries on Saturday apparently to enforce some rules bordering on financial crimes.
It was not clear as at press time if the operatives had submitted their reports.
