The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has, in another raid on popular Idumota Open Drug Market, Lagos, uncovered fake drugs and vaccines stored in toilets.
This was diclosed in a post on the agency’s official X handle on Thursday.
According to the post, the uncovered consignment include unregistered narcotics, counterfeit GSK medicines, and vaccines.
As seen in the pictures and videos attached to the post, some of uncovered drugs include Fortwin Pentazocine injection, Diazepam tablets, cartons of Jetfenac caplets, Amoxil Oral Suspension powder, and a carton of Amartem Soft gel, which was found on a water closet, amongst others.
NAFDAC have, in the past weeks recorded several other recoveries across the country, including the burst of the infamous haven of fake products at Aba market, Abia state.
