The factional National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nafiu Bala, has turned down an invitation by former Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as the leadership crisis within the party intensifies.
Kwankwaso made this known while speaking in a recent interview on DCI Hausa.
The ex-Kano governor disclosed inviting Nafiu to his residence on Monday, but the factional ADC leader failed to show up.
Kwankwaso, who recently defected to the ADC from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), charged his associates to call him to order the leadership crisis in the party, stressing that the ADC leader still have a lot to learn.
“I was supposed to see Nafiu Bala yesterday till this morning he never came.
“Many people told me he will not come. I googled and saw he was born in 1990, he is still young and has a lot to learn.
“People close to him must advise him and call him to order” The former Kano governor said.
NPO Reported Nafiu had challenged the ADC’s takeover by the coalition of opposition leaders.
The challenge had escalated into litigation cases which largely remains unresolved and had forced the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to de-recognise the leader of the David Mark-led factional National Working Committee (NWC).
INEC, in compliance with the Appeal Court ruling, resolved to withdraw its recognition of the Mark-led faction, removing the names of the NWC leaders from its portal.
