The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions has, on Wednesday, commenced probe on the misconduct of lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Udughan, during.
Having earlier rescheduled the disciplinary probe, the Committee assembled after today’s plenary to investigate Natasha’s outburst during the Red Chamber’s sitting on the 20th of February.
Natasha had at the plenary engaged in a heated exchange with Senate President Godswill Akpabio over seat allocation.
She accused Akpabio of publicly humiliating her and obstructing her motions and bills on the Senate floor.
Following her suspension and call for disciplinary action against her, the lawmaker would appear in an interview on Arise TV where she accused the Senate President of making sexual advances towards her.
However, the Kogi lawmaker failed to appear before the Committee following the rejection of her petition by the Senate.
