Accuses Ex-Senate President of Tribalism
- Safiu Kehinde
Sequel to the sexual harrasment allegation melted against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Nigerian Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has slammed his predecessor, Bukola Saraki, over call for his suspension pending the conclusion of investigation on the allegation.
Akpabio, who had come under fire and public scrutiny over the claims made by Natasha during an interview on Arise TV last week, faulted Saraki’s remark while accusing him of tribalism.
Speaking at an interview on AIT’s Kakaaki programme on Monday morning, the Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, slammed Saraki’s call for Akpabio’s suspension after being silenced on several issues in the Senate which included the tax reform bills controversies.
Eyiboh held that it is an act of tribalism as he alleged the the former Senate President had only reacted because Akpabio is from the South-South.
