A heated argument has on Tuesday broken out between Ebonyi lawmaker, Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, and former Minister of the Education, Oby Ezekwesili, at the hearing of the sexual harrasment petition filed by suspended Kogi lawmaker, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Nwaebonyi and Ezekwesili engaged in fierce exchange of words and name calling at the hearing of Natasha’s petition against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, before the Red Chamber’s committee on ethics, privileges, and public petitions.
The moment captured in a now viral video on X saw the enraged lawmaker representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, lashing at Ezekwesili, who also talked back at the Senator.
While the cause of the discord could not the fully ascertained, it appeared that Nwaebonyi had taken offences at the manner he was addressed by the former Minister as she called her an insult to womanhood.
“What do you mean? Why are you talking to me like that? You are an insult to womanhood! People like you should not be here.” The lawmaker could be heard saying as the committee attempted to call the him to order.
