The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is set to hold its annual State of the Nation’s Dialogue with a public discourse centred on the Local Government financial autonomy.
Themed “Strengthening Local Government Autonomy in Nigeria”, the event will see panelists deliberate on the implementation and challenges associated with the policy.
As announced in a statement issued on Sunday and shared on X by NBA’s President, Afam Ozigwe, the event, which is slated to hold on the 19th of February at the NBA House, Abuja, will bring together key stakeholders, including State Governors, the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and members of the legal profession.
The Keynote speaker for the event is Ejembi Eko JSC (Rtd) while Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo is invited as the Lead Presenter.
Channels Television presenter, Seun Okinbaloye, will anchor the discussion session at the event.
