The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 58 new infections, bringing the number of infections in the country to 163,388
The NCDC made this known on Tuesday night via its official Twitter handle, where it disclosed that the new infections were recorded in 11 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“Till date, 163,388 cases have been confirmed, 153,630 cases have been discharged and 2,058 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the FCT,” it said.
It said that Tuesday's report included 1007 community recoveries in FCT, 496 in Niger State, and 52 in Bauchi State managed in line with guidelines.
The NCDC said that the country’s active cases stood at 7,700 in the last 24 hours.
It said a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, had continued to coordinate the national response activities in the country.
The Health Agency also said that the country has tested 1,803,177 people since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 was announced on Feb. 27, 2020.
