The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has listed issues to be discussed at its 99th National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting slated to hold today at Legacy House, Abuja.
Having earlier held a National Caucus Meeting yesterday, the party declared the commencement of the NEC meeting in a statement issued on its official X handle on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the meeting aimed to address critical issues affecting the party, including strategies for upcoming political engagements.
“The 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is holding today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the party’s presidential campaign office, Legacy House, located in the Maitama District, Abuja.
“The NEC, one of the highest decision-making organs of the PDP, comprises of Party National Chairman and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), state governors, serving and former presidents, former vice-presidents, the chairman and secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT), principal officers of the National Assembly, state chairpersons, former governors, and founding members, among others.
“The meeting aims to address critical issues affecting the party, including strategies for upcoming political engagements.” The statement read.
NPO Reported that the PDP had held its the caucus meeting held at the Bauchi State Governors’ Lodge hours after the sealing of its National Headquarters by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) over unpaid ground rents.
The party’s Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, had at the end of the meeting condemned the development, labelling it as an attempt to mar democracy.
