Nigerian businessman and politician, Sen. Ned Nwoko, has expressed his sympathy with men who married one wife which, according to him, create imbalance for such men.
This is coming under the heels of break up between the lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District and Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels.
NPO Reported that Regina had earlier this month moved out of Nwoko’s house as she accused the lawmaker of domestic violence.
Nwoko was alleged to have beaten the actress and fled.
The Senator had since reacted in a statement where he claimed that Regina was the violent one while disclosing her addiction struggle with drugs and alcohol.
Reflecting on the drama on Channels TV’s Sunday Politics programme yesterday, Nwoko said that he feels sorry for men married to one wife.
He maintained that every man should have more than one wife, which, according to him, creates a balance.
“Every man should do that [marry more than one wife],
“Just imagine telling you to stand on one leg; you know how difficult it is. But to stand on two, three four is much more balanced.
“That’s just the example I gave. Do you understand this?
“So I feel sorry for those who just have one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg,” the lawmaker stated.
When asked if he had any regrets marrying multiple wives, Nwoko said he has no regret over the decision.
“No, no, no; I will do the same thing again.” He said.
