A newly wedded couple on Saturday joined the rally in support of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi held in Abuja.
The couple had become a centre of attraction as they were seen in their wedding attires.
Many at the rally were seen snapping photos with the couple.
Hailing the newly wedded couple for joining the rally,Obi in a video shared on his official Twitter handle,expressed his happiness and congratulated the couple for identifying with his struggle to become Nigeria number one citizen next year.
Obi while congratulating the latest couple also prayed for a trouble free union as they embark on a life time journey together.
His tweet reads,“Salute and congratulations to this newly wedded couple in Abuja, whose special day coincided with the Obidient Family March in Abuja; and they marched too!”
“Wishing you both a blissful and happy married life and children, who will grow up in a united, secure, and productive Nigeria.”
Supporters of former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi are nicknamed ‘Obidients’ and have been making waves across all the states in the country holding solidarity walk in readiness for 2023 general elections.
Peter Obi left PDP for LP days to the presidential primary of the party sighting a compromised primary in favour of a particular aspirant.
The Nigeria labour Congress, NLC has also identified with him with a promise ensuring that he wins the battle ahead of him
Peter Obi is contesting against his former principal,Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party,Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party and the ruling party candidate(APC),Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The campaign activities will fully commence next week as directed by the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC.
