Ogun state government has pledged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies despite the economic challenges.
The state’s governor, Dapo Abiodun, made this pledge in a post on his official X handle on Tuesday following his engagement in the Independence Day Parade.
While urging Nigerian citizens to return to the foundational values that define the nation, Abiodun expressed optimism in the Federal Government’s policies regardless of the economic challenges they present.
He said the policies are designed to foster long-term stability and growth as he urged Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu.
“As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we call on all citizens to return to the foundational values that define us.
“Together, we can build a society where every Nigerian has the opportunity to reach their full potential, contributing to the peace, progress, and prosperity of Ogun State and our entire country.
“Despite Nigeria’s current economic challenges, we remain optimistic and supportive of the federal government’s policies under President @officialABAT.
“These policies are designed to foster long-term stability and growth, and we urge everyone to remain united, patient, and committed to navigating this journey together.” Abiodun wrote.
Meanwhile, the governor reassured Ogun residents of his administration’s focus on infrastructural development, social welfare, and education amongst others.
“Our administration, under the ‘ISEYA’ development agenda, continues to focus on infrastructure, social welfare, education, youth empowerment, and agriculture, ensuring Ogun State’s continued progress.” He added.
