Nigerian Businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim Declares For Senate Seat

A notable businessman in Nigeria, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim has declared his intention to contest for a senate seat in 2023.
Ibrahim, who made this known in his hometown, Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Council Area of Ondo State, said he would be running on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.
Ibrahim once ran to be the governor of the state.
Ibrahim is best known for his many businesses which however wound down after some years.
He once boasted that he had a special interest in breathing life into dead companies.
A lawyer, Ibrahim went into publishing as he bought over former tabloid which he turned to National Mirror.
He also once bought the defunct Newswatch magazine.
His interests in oil and gas, hospitality and insurance were well known.
He was at some point chairman of the Board of the Corporate Affairs Commission.
