A Nigerian doctoral student, Yunusa Halliru, has reportedly been arrested and kept incommunicado in China.
This was disclosed in a post shared by an X user on Saturday.
According to the post, Halliru, a Beijing-based PhD student had been arrested since over two months by Chinese Police with his family not knowing the reason behind his arrest.
The X user called for the intervention of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) CEO, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar.

“We’ve gotten a report from his colleagues that he has been arrested by the Chinese police for over two months now and the family are yet to know the exact reason.
“Can you kindly help and look at the situation?
