Nigerians Super Eagles Suffer Home 0-1 Defeat

It was not a good outing for the Super Eagles on Thursday as the Nigerian side was beaten 1-0 by the Wild Beasts of the Central African Republic.

The match played at  the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos sawa  goal by Karl Namnganda in the 89th minute gave Central African Republic a historic victory against the Super Eagles .

Central Africa Republic came into the world cup 2022 qualifiers as the underdogs against a highly revered super eagles who were unbeaten in two games before meeting the central republic side.

Despite the defeat, the super eagles remain at the top of the group with six points ,followed by Cape Verde, Central Africa Republic and Liberia in that order.

CAR will meet the Super Eagles again in Douala, Cameroun in three days time for the second leg of their group c match up which is a World Cup 2022 qualifier.
