NISER is key player in the Nigerian social, economic, and political arena, and a premier thinking tank of the Federal Government of Nigeria, empowered to, among others, organise seminars and conferences on issues of economic and social development in the country.
A statement made available to the NPO Reports by the institute said efforts to redress identified pathologies of the Nigerian federation have ignited a raging debate amongst key stakeholders in the country’s public space.
It explained that NISER, acting within its mandate as a policy advisor to government, has recently conducted several studies pertaining to one of such pathologies, viz: the restructuring question. “Each of these studies constitute a rich menu of policy discourse for stakeholders in the proposed workshop,” the statement added
