The self-acclaimed chairperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hafsatu Danladi, has reaffirmed her stance as the legitimate leader of the party as she talked down threats and intimidation.
NPO Reported that Danladi had yesterday declared herself as the leader of the ruling party while labelling the Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda-led National Working Committee (NWC) as illegitimate.
The self-acclaimed APC leader, in a statement issued on her X handle, vowed to challenge Nentawe leadership at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
She disclosed that she will file an injunction before the court in demand for the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) de-recognition of the Nentawe-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC.
“No level of intimidation, coercion, or inducement will deter me from pursuing justice.
“I reaffirm my position as the authentic Chairperson of the APC.” She wrote.
The factional APC leader held that the rule of law must prevail against what she considered illegality in the APC.
“The rule of law must prevail. There is no place for illegality in the affairs of our great party.” She added.
