Gbolahan Obanikoro, son of Lagos lawmaker, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, is set to be arraigned alongside four others as Federal High Court in Lagos fixed February 27, 2025, for the hearing of his alleged involvement in N1.36 billion fraud.
Other defendants in the suit filed by the Nigerian Police Force include Adejare Adegbenro, Balmoral International Limited, M.O.B. Integrated Limited, and DDSS International Company Limited.
The defendants are arraigned by the Special Fraud unit of the NPF on five counts of conspiracy, obtaining by false pretenses, false representation, and fraud.
According to report, the Force accused the defendants of conspiring to fraudulently obtain N1.36 billion from Access Bank Plc between May and September 2013.
They were initially expected to appear before the court on Friday.
Following the absence, the presiding judge, Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa the new date with Prosecuting counsel Momoh Bello informing the court that all defendants had been served with the case details but were absent.
However, Counsel for M.O.B. Integrated Limited, Joshua Abel, argued against issuing a bench warrant, explaining that service was received late, and most directors were out of the country.
