Former Governor of Ogun state, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has told Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo that he lacks the moral rights to call for the cancellation of the just held presidential election.
Recall earlier that NPO Reported that the former president had yesterday raised alarm in a letter over what he tagged “danger looming ahead”, where he urged President Muhammadu Buhari to advise the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to halt the collation of the Presidential election results over reports of irregularities raised by many Nigerians and party agents.
Osoba said Obasanjo should be a statesman adding that by his adoption of one of the candidates in the election, he had lost all rights to dictate how the election should be held.
“On Jan 1, he released a statement endorsing Peter Obi. If you are already in the ring, why should you now choose to be a referee in a situation where you should be “Omo ola”.
“I am not happy with him because he’s not being objective. what legal authority does he have to come and teach us what should be a fair election?” He asked
He callenged Obasanjo to engage him in what he called “intellectual debate.”
