Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, made grand appearance at the 2026 Lisabi Day cultural festival in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Obasanjo arrived at the event held on Saturday in full traditional attire.
His appearance stirred cheers from the crowdas he walked towards the venue.
Meanwhile, some members of the crowd would be spotted with campaign placards containing images of the ex-President’s daughter, Iyabo Obasanjo.
NPO Reported that Iyabo had declared interest in the 2027 Ogun State Governorship election.
She is currently canvassing for support as she eyes the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship ticket.
Away from the political message stirred by Obasanajo, the Lisabi Day, also known as Egbaliganza, was also graced by Nollywood actors who stormed the venue of the annual event with matching outfit.

The actors spearheaded by Muyiwa Ademola include Yemi Solade, Ebun Oloyede, and renowned Fuji musician, Sulaimon Alao, popularly known as KSI Malaika, amongst others.
Also attending the presrigeous event was Nigerian Nobel Laurette, Prof. Wole Soyinka.
Video of his arrival shared on X showed him exchanging pleasantries with Obasanjo, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III; and the Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, before taking his seat.
According to reports, Lisabi Festival is a vibrant celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Egba people in Abeokuta and across the globe.
