Members of the National Opposition Coalition Group (NOCG) tend to be undeterred by the sudden change in venue of their party unveiling event as 2023 Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai arrived at the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
NPO earlier Reported the cancellation of the coalition’s booking by Wells Carlton Hotel, the I initially selected venue for the unveiling of the group’s party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Sequel to the change, the event was postponed till 2pm and has since seen the arrival of leaders of the coalition group.
Also confirmed to have arrived at the venue are former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi; ex-Kogi lawmaker, Dino Melaye; a former Minister of Youth and Sports; Solomon Dalong; Dele Momodu; Senator Gabriel Suswam, and Senator Ireti Kingibe of the Labour Party (LP).
Also present are former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha; and former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (retd.).
Several other politicians from across the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and the LP have also converged.
The event will see the ADC officially unveil former Senate President, David Mark, as its interim National Chairman while ex-Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, takes over the role of the interim National Secretary.
