The presidential election petition court has dismissed allegation that the Independent National Electoral Commission deliberately did not upload results of the presidential election on its portal. Justice Haruna Tsammani, while ruling on the petition against INEC that the commission failed to upload results real time as a ploy to manipulate results of the February 25 presidential poll, said that the witness called by the petitioner, Mr. Peter Obi, failed to show the court how the failure amounted to sabotage.
The tribunal said Obi’s web engineer’s evidence concerning IReV portal glitches, added no value to his case adding also that the witness’ documentary evidence was unsigned.
