Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Friday, met with former President Goodluck Jonathan at his Yenagoa residence in Bayelsa State.
The former Anambra State Governor shared the pictures of him,his team and former President Jonathan on his verified Twitter handle on Friday
“My team and I just arrived at the residence of President @GEJonathan in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. -PO” he wrote
Confirming the visit, former President Jonathan via his Twitter handle said during the visit of Obi and his team,he reiterated that for Nigeria to progress,all hands must be on deck adding that whoever wins next year must work towards uniting the country.
Jonathan however stressed on the need for a credible election. He urged the Labour Party and all other parties and their supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully.
“Today I received in audience members of the Presidential Campaign Council of the @NgLabour led by its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.

“I reiterated that to move Nigeria forward, we all must see it as our own country and believe in the unity of the nation.Whoever becomes the next president must work towards uniting the nation.
“I also stressed on the need for a credible election and urge the Labour Party and all other parties and their supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully,” Jonathan tweeted
