World Trade Organization (WTO) Director-General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been listed among the 2024 Forbes 100 most powerful women in the world for the 8th time.
The former Nigerian Minister of Finance announced this in a post on her official X handle on Friday.
Also making the list is Nigerian business woman and CEO of EbonyLife Group, Mo Abudu.
Meanwhile, other African women who made it to the list include Tanzanian President, Suluhu Samia, DR Congo’s Prime Minister, Suminwa Judith, and Bidvest CEO, Mpumi Madisa.
Okonjo-Iweala, in the post on her X handle, expressed her gratitude for the honour while also congratulating other African women on the list.

“This is an honor I do not take for granted. I wish to congratulate all my fellow women Honorees, in particular the 4 other African Women on the list – H.E President @SuluhuSamia of Tanzania, H.E Prime Minister @SuminwaJudith of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ms Mpumi Madisa -CEO of Bidvest, and our very own @MoAbudu.
